When we appoint a choice of agent is that just for the NVC process or do they still send all paperwork to the agent when the case goes to the embassy. Because we will choose my husband as choice of agent and he lives in us but hw will be coming to UK around the for a few months around the time is likely to get transfered to the embassy

It really depends on the embassy/consulate you are going through. In my case, going through Mumbai India, I the USC was the choice of agent. I received the IV fee bill and the DS230 from the NVC (which would have gone to my wife in India had I not been the Choice of Agent). When the file ultimately went to the Mumbai consulate, and the interview was scheduled, the interview letter (packet 4) was sent directly to my wife.

Some consulates will send packet 4 to the Choice of Agent, and others will send it directly to the beneficary regardless of who the Choice of Agent is.

Good luck.

It is usually for NVC process. Embassy sends the interview package to the applicant/beneficiary. Some Embassy send interview package to both petitioner and benefiary.

When we appoint a choice of agent is that just for the NVC process or do they still send all paperwork to the agent when the case goes to the embassy. Because we will choose my husband as choice of agent and he lives in us but hw will be coming to UK around the for a few months around the time is likely to get transfered to the embassy

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

As I had previously stated, if the USC is assigned the Choice of Agent, then the Immigration Fee Bill and the DS230 Part 1 from the NVC will be sent to the USC for sure.

With regards to what happens after NVC completes the case and sends it to the embassy, my orignal statement stands. In some cases Packet 4 will be sent to the beneficary regardless of who the Choice of Agent is, and in other cases Packet 4 will be sent to the Choice of Agent.

Goodluck

Specifically, "agent of choice" refers only to the NVC part of the process. It has nothing to do with what the Embassy or Consulate does. Some stations have been known to send the P3 and P4 to the attorney of record when there is one. Some people want this but most will find it causes a delay in their process. I wouldn't confuse the two issues. If you want the foreign station to communicate directly with the applicant/beneficiary, I suggest you communicate with them directly as soon as they receive the electronic file of your case.
