NVC to Dublin-how long should it take?

Ok I just called Dublin, assuming the packet woud have arrived but it hasn't. I called NVC and they said it was sent out 3/13/06.

I tried to track the petition by reference on www.dhl.com, but there is nothing for Dublin at all. Anyone know how long it should be taking to get to the embassy? I really thought it was only a week at the most

I am not complaining-I just thought it would be there by now.

Well, I think you are right to asssume taht regular mail only takes a week. But this is quite a big package and it has a few specials on it like registered mail and all that so that casn take a bit longer.

Also, It might well have arrived at Dublin and just not gotten to the right place and put in the system.

Just a little more patience, it'll be there soon

No I just wondered what the "normal delivery time" is, if there is such a thing. Not a big deal I am sure my man will get the packet real soon.

Have you looked at the timelines for Mand and other Dublin compatriates?

Ours took a week, but remember last Friday was Paddy's Day and that's a National Holiday. Plus, a lot of people take the Thursay and Monday off too. Also, the US Embassy take American AND Irish holidays. I would imagine it should be there this week.

Yeah I figure Paddy's Day could delay things a bit. I spoke to a really nice woman last week who explained that they are "down" a person, so maybe they are swamped, and haven't entered the petitions in the system yet?

Just anxious to book my trip and see my man............shouldn't be too long now. I figure he will have things by next week. The woman said something about "ringing" him..........don't they just post it out to him?
