I just sent another not so pleasing email to our friends in Montreal.......the guy said it would be dealt with immediately upon receipt of release proof , when he phoned Scott in April.

Soooooooooo my husband faxed a letter from the release section to Montreal stating his release date, verifying his pending release etc etc. He also followed up with an email saying he sent the fax and could they verify the receipt of the fax and they replied as follows;

"Please allow several weeks to work on your case. I cannot verify if we received your fax till the case is being reviewed"

****sigh****

Geesh... does he have the name of the consular officer from his interview? Maybe he can err... try and contact him directly?

If their emails are consistent with Vancouver's, the email should be LastnameFirstletteroffirstname@state.gov. Soooo John Smith would be smithj@state.gov.

I asked ......and no. if the CO said his name, Scott doesnt recall it. When he called back after the initial phone call from the CO, he asked if he could get the guys name and they said no......just send the fax to the IV issuance office. When Mr John Doe Co Officer called , he made it sound like it would be a rather simple quick process so hubby wasn't overly concerned.

Damn, that's too bad. I know about the email address convention since the guy who helped me with my transfer emailed me personally.
