Petitioner's Civil Documents?

Me and my husband have arranged everything for our AOS and IV packs now according to the NVC welcome letter (see picture below).

There is one item on the list "Petitioner's civil documents' that we are unsure about. Does this just mean his passport / birth certificate?

I have looked this up online but under civil documents it seems most answers are for the beneficiary (me) and so we are not sure what this exactly means??... any help appreciated! :)

Additionally to his passport and birth certificate, it also relates to previous marriage records (if he has any)

we don't have any previous marriages. I wasn't sure if it was passport and birth certificate for both beneficiary and petitioner because those are directly mentioned to the beneficiary but under petitioner it's worded as petitioner civil documents for some reason..

but anyway thank you for the clarification !
