Waiting on interview -- but fiance got great job in UK

We have been in K1 process for over a year. We are waiting on an inteview with London embassy. But, my fiance just got a fabulous job offer in the UK. If we marry and live in UK for a few years, is there any way for him to become a citizen/resident while we live in England? How will we get back into the US if we're married and I don't have a job to "support" him? I'm guessing we'll have to break down and get a lawyer. Do we have start all over? Or can we use what we've done so far? Will this have any bearing on his final residency? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I *think* you would withdraw you petition and then you could marry in the UK (or wherever) and then process either the K3 or the CR-1. Other forums can tell you more about that.

(Don't forget, the UK has its own immigration requirements, processes and regulations you'll need to learn about.)

You probably don't need a lawyer yet, though. Just need to read some new guides and forums first!

First of all, who is Spanish...him or you? I'm guessing it's him. The UK grants fiance visas for foreigners to marry UK citizens but I'm not sure that privilege is extended to EU citizens. He has the right to live and work in the UK, but I'm not sure you do.

Question...where are you currently? Where is HE currently? What countries do both of you come from?

If your fiance is not going to live in the U.S., you might as well withdraw/cancel your I-129F. The visa that your fiance would receive would be good for only 6 months and then you would need to marry in the U.S. within 90 days of his arrival. After the marriage, your husband has to apply for AOS and stay in the U.S. until his AOS is approved (unless you file for AP). It sometimes takes years for AOS to be approved.

So, if he has decided not to move to the U.S., it is pointless to continue with the I-129F.

By looking at your timeline, it seems your fiance should have received packet 3 and sent it back by now.

Is your timeline correct?
