received I-129F approval notice, what next ?

Hi I filed a I-129 petition for my fiancee in Jan but today I received the following e-mail notice from the INS:

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On April 5, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

It seems to me they have already approved my petition even though the current processing date for I-129 is still Sept 13.

I am still waiting for the official letter to arrive.

So the next step for me will be collecting financial support information and for my fiancee will be collecting medical record, police report etc ?

What next? . . . . Champagne!!!! Congrats! :)

The dates reported on that site represent the oldest cases they are dealing with - they do that to try to discourage people from calling repeatedly before sufficient time has passed. It's just a cover for the slowest moving cases.

Check out the timelines on this website and I think you'll find that - depending on when you received your NOA1 (that's that first form that was the official receipt from USCIS), you're right on schedule!

Next, your package goes to the NVC, then on to your finace's embassy. You're well on your way now! Check out the K1 chart here for a nice outline of the next steps. The guides and FAQ are helpful too.

1-12-07 mailed to CSC

1-22-07 DHS cashes the I-129F check

1-23-07 NOA1 Notice Date

1-26-07 NOA1 arrives in the post

4-25-07 Touched!

4-26-07 Touched again!

5-3-07 NOA2!!! Two approval emails received at 11:36am

5-10-07 Arrived at NVC/5-14-07 Left NVC - London-bound!

5-17-07??? London receives?

5-20-07 Packet 3 mailed

5-26-07 Packet 3 received

5-29-07 Packet 3 returned, few days later than planned due to bank holiday weekend

6-06-07 Medical in London (called to schedule on May 29)

6-11-07 "Medical in file" at Embassy

6-14-07 Resent packet 3 to Embassy after hearing nothing about first try

6-22-07 DOS says "applicant now eligible for interview," ie: they enter p3 into their system

6-25-07 DOS says interview date is August 21

6-28-07 Help from our congressional representative gives us new interview date: July 6

7-06-07 Interview at 9:00 am at the London Embassy - Approved.

7-16-07 Visa delivered after 'security checks' completed

I-129F approved in 111 days; Interview 174 days from filing

The USCIS commitment or goal is to process I-129f's within 6 months. When the USCIS is meeting or exceeding this goal, the date reported for processing times will be a date 6 months prior to the report date. When the USCIS is not meeting the goal then the date reported will reflect reality.

does the consulate send anything to notice me or my fiance? My paperwork is almost ready to send per guides provided here.

07/??/00: Met Fiance

05/??/06: Rekindled with fiance

10/20/06: Proposed, with a yes!

12/23/06: Met fiance in person after over 6 years

12/24/06: Engagement party in Vietnam

01/01/07: Went back to America

01/03/07: I-129F Sent to CSC

04/04/07: NVC Receives case

04/13/07: HCM Consulate Receives physical file

04/24/07: HCM Sends Out Packet 3
