Same here: mailed on March 20 and still nothing. But at least the check has cleared, hurray!

Actually my fiance was able to drop by TSC office while on a trip there and he was able to speak with the manager/director or whoever that was. According to that director guy, now is a very busy time for Texas immigration authorities since the seasonal across-the-border workers started pouring in, and their processing slows down everything else.

Aug 2003 first icebreaker ;-)

Well if you are waiting for your petition to be approved by Texas then you are in for a very long wait.... Texas does not do I-129F's anymore as they are all transfered to California....

YMMV

And the check won't be cashed until they've transferred it.

Yeah, it's California that's slowwwwwwwww, not Texas. All Texas will be doing is forwarding your petition to California, and if you sent it on March 20th, they've most likely done that already. You should get your NOA1 soon... but then you're in for a long wait, so try and be patient, because you won't be hearing anything for at least 2-3 months after that. :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

Leave it to the government. Take the I-129f's from one of the two slowest centers and transfer them to the other slowest center. Edited by roverdriver

you know, CSC is able to stay about three months behind all the time .. which means to me that they are keeping up with the current flow of applications into the center (they are just three months behind).

This makes me wonder why they don't just hire extra people catch up to date and then lay the new folks off. As long as the adjudicators at CSC worked at the same pace that they are working now, once the center was caught up they could process the applications at lightning speed instead of keeping them on a shelf somewhere collecting dust for 3 months.

As a business owner, I can assure you that if someone was on my payroll and that employee did business the way that the USCIS does, I would have to seriously consider replacing them.

Like roverdriver said above, leave it to the government.

I think if they hired a bunch of temporary rookies, it would be bad for all of us! You know... It's like getting a new supervisor or dealing with a new cop. They have a power trip and like to throw their weight around. I cross the Texas/Mexico border everyday to work and I hate being stuck in line on the bridge when a new custom's cop is there. They ask a hundred questions and want to search your car and give you hard time. The veteran customs guys just ask a couple questions and send you on your way. If we had a bunch of new rookie guys working at CSC, they would issue a bunch of RFE's and turn down a lot of pretitions...just cause they can. Sigh.....They could, however, forward our petitions to Vermont and not Cali! They would make sense!!! LOL

Hi there,

We received NOA1 in the mail yesterday (and the check was already cashed). You guys should receive yours very soon. Had my fiance mailed our petition via express mail, i believe we would have received NOA1 sooner.

Hang in there for a little bit. Yours may be on their way !!
