Hey Rhonda I'll be in Jamaica during that time! I'll primarily be in Negril, but we'll be in Ochi on the 21st-23rd maybe for a honeymoon. The wedding is the 18th. I'd love to meet up with you!

Neither one of us know much about Ochi, whereabouts will you be?

Awesome  Yeah, we'll have to hook up. We'll be staying at "Rooms on the Beach" (formerly Club Jamaica). It's nice - recently all renovated with all the necessities and literally right on the beach!! It is located right in the heart of Ochi on Turtle Beach. It is just West of Sunset Jamaica Grande. If you're still looking for a hotel, it's a nice little 3 star - it usually goes for $95 a night for an ocean-view w/ balcony but we got it on special for $75 on hotels.com :D

You can also PM me if you want.

I don't know much about dual citizenship, but I do know that if your hubby is with you, you CAN skip the long immigration line and go in the JA line with him  I did it the last time we were there.

A better method would be to go to the office in Kingston in person with the documents. They will copy everything they need. You don't need an appointment. Once they send you the Citizenship paper, go back and have then stamp your passport with an unconditional landing stamp.

I did this claiming citizenship through my mother, so it only took 6 months instead of a year. But think about all we are going through to do the same for our SO. You can easily leave JA and return for the papers.

I plan to apply for dual as well, especially since a little one is on the way. Maybe we can do that when we go next spring...I'll have to talk to hubby about this one.

Bogus application

An acquaintance called and told me today that she got "set up" and that a guy will be filing a bogus Fiance visa for her, I probably should not be but I was a bit P***.

After all I'm going through to get my "real fiance" here people are using the system for money, no wonder we have to skip though so many red tapes. It's not my business really, but I was just a little upset maybe, at another point in my life it would have mattered one bit. (just ranting forgive me)

I know, I know a couple of folk, who had the nerve and call me and ask for advise, they were doing the same thing. :hehe: I guess better to know you are being used than not

They don't give you grief at Sangster. They actually want you to go through the nationals line with your husband/wife.

I was looking into dual; but not sure if I will or not. Not sure if the benefits outweigh the actual hassle of doing it.
