The other option you have is to find a co-sponsor, that way will not matter to the USCIS whether you are working or not.

The only problem you would then have is your application fees.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I know of a girl who didn't even have a job (she was still in college) so she got a co-sponsor and it all worked out fine.

Disney is WAY expensive and goes up in price every year!!! especially if you stay on Disney properties. I've stayed all over down there and have been a million times.....so much, we're Disney'ed out. This one place we stay (off Disney) it's a great place, walking distance to alot of great places to eat and is 1/2 between Disney and Universal. I love Universal !! Sea World, unless you can do the behind the scene (backstage tour), not worth going.

You couldn't pay me to go during a major holiday....ie Thanksgiving or Christmas, just WAY to many people that it's not very enjoyable. We've gone during times when school is off for a 3 day weekend, or I've taken my son out for a day or 2. My parents went (drove from Maryland) a couple years ago (not listening to their travel professional daughter) to Disney .....my parents learned their lesson the hard way. Two 2 hour waits, minimum to get into anything!!! Traffic they said....horrendous!!!

My sons club soccer coach wants to take the team down there (he's not paying for it...of course) to play next year over Christmas....I'm like....have fun !!!

haven't started checking prices yet..but my mom has a place where we can stay and just drive in to Disney. The reason why I say it's cheaper..cause with him going back for the 1st time..he ahs to bring something for tom, #######, harry and their sisters...so the money that we would take to do that we can spend 1/2 and have a family vaca..the only reason we would go to JA is to see my step-daughters who he misses very very much..but we'll see..

I hear Disney have different deals and packages...wouldn't want to be there for any holidays though...

Yeah , I saw him!!! The first one I saw was when he put on the black face with the Rasta tam! I was crying! But he raises some valid points. My license plate frame used to say "Out of Many, One People" and everyone used to ask what that meant. When I would explain it was the National Motto for Jamaica because we have such a plethora of varying cultures and nationalities down there, but we all consider ourselves Jamaican. They would say REALLY!! Chinese, Syrian and WHITE Jamaicans...NO WAY!!!

People just don't know!

That's kind of what I was discussing with Andre.....going back is so much more then just the price of the plane tickets. For one, his mother no longer has water or electric. I used to be okay without the electric part; but not without water. I refuse. So, we are talking a hotel or a resort. Food, transportation, and of course, the required "when you come back could you bring me................" Oh, and entertainment. Definately not going to be as economical as it used to be.

I see your point. It might be better for us to focus on some vacation trip instead.

I have been in so much rhaatid pain with my neck and shoulder. DAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNGGG!!!!! I have a small problem...my telephone company, Talk America, was changed to Cavetel recently. Well, I have began stockpiling my bills so that I will have records of the MANY calls to Jamaica. Well lo and behold...I have not been billed for any of my international calls since July! Awesome for my pockets...but bad for proof of ongoing relationship right?

The rep said she doesn't know if they will be able to find those calls, and if they can, they will be added to ONE bill! Cha! Will that be a problem to have all the calls since July billed on one bill for USCIS?

Good news is that my divorce should be finalized by November I think. I have to take a course though even though we have been separated for 3 years.

I'd say as long as the calls show the dates, there shouldn't be any issues at all for you.

I used a LD service where I dialed an 800 number and then typed in his number when prompted. All they could see on my bills were a whole bunch of 800 numbers. No one questioned it.

That whole LD phone calls thing nearly broke me, Kimmy. I swear it was cheaper to go visit then call.
