I know a guy who went for his AOS interview and they aked him what type of protection he uses when he has intercourse with his wife and he told them that they did not use anything. He was thinking of him using a condom. She was previously interviewed separately and told them that she uses an IUD. Take it that this guy did not even know that she uses this thing or what an IUD was. This was a genuine marriage and they were denied. A lawyer told him that they are not supposed to ask such personal questions, but they (USCIS) can do whatever they want. If a lawyer was present he would not have had to answer that question. He has hired a lawyer to file an appeal and work on his case.:angry:

Such questions should not be asked; how dare they! I hope he gets a good lawyer as well!

JA Tam:

I see that your SO's inerview date is coming up soon. Are you excited/nervous/apprenhensive?

Do you have butterflies in your tummy? I would be. I am going to JA in October to see Mike and I am all of the above. I can imagine what it is like when you are planning to go see your SO. I am so excited. You must be too.

Hey Claire,

I am actually VERY EXCITED!!! It's been a long time coming and we are ready to step into our future together. I think he is apprehensive about the medical with the prospects of all the needles he will be seeing  with any vaccines he will need. Thankfully, he has his immunization card, which is up to date, so he shouldn't need too many shots. I am looking forward to going home and seeing him and getting the interview over and done with  .

Thanks for asking (F) . I am so excited for USA-Jamaica as well (her interview is Sept 27th).

Why do you need extra luggage, can it not fit in the two your carrying plus the carry-on? THe thing about carrying more luggages if you might pay twice. Once at the airport here for overage and another at the JA airport for gifts. I normally carry alot and just pay for overage (if I have to) but when I get to JA I say I have nothing for anyone.

That's my motto...the "nothing to declare" line is my friend.

I'm hoping it will fit in the four + two carry-ons, right now we have filled two suit cases and we have not packed for us yet.

Girl, I know what you mean. I am going to JA in October and I have two suitcases almost full and my clothes aren't even packed yet. I have to limit the amount of shoes and just take maybe two or so that matches my outfits. Not a shoe for every outfit like we women like to do. I do not want to be overweight or have to carry extra luggage, so I have stopped shopping.:yes: I have to restrain myself.

Morning sickness is a pain and the fatigue. Hubby though was really sick this week with a cold and I can't hardly eat a thing. Sympathy for me  yeah right. I am going back to bed for more rest on this Labor day. ;)

Yes, morning sickness has been the worst part for me so far. Thank goodness it (usually) goes away after the 1st trimester. I ate a lot of carbs when I felt sick - it was the easiest to keep down. Meat made me sick. Also, try sour stuff - lemonade, sour candy, etc.. And ask your doc about taking extra Vitamin B6 - it helps with the nausea.

That is just crazy :ranting: They shouldn't ask such personal questions. Not to mention, a LOT of guys have no clue what an IUD is anyways!

**OFF TOPIC**

Very interesting....... someone posted this on VJ, when he sent his fiancee packing back to her country and he might now have 2nd thoughts of trying to make it work out....

http://annie8886.wordpress.com/tag/love-relationship

This is a very good list of questions to go over with your SO. There are things on this list that I never thought to ask that I have very strong feelings towards. It will be very beneficial to go over this list with Donna. We will both know before marriage how the other thinks concerning the different areas questioned. Knowing these things about the other person will make matters a lot easier when those things come up later on.
