Thanks for all of your concern ladies  but I am sure he made the best choice by being honest. I feel like yall are just bringing more doubt on our already dubious situation instead of trying to be uplifting. What's up with that?

I think everyone here is extremely supportive.

But the thing is not to loose sight of the fact that this is also an important resource for hundreds of people agonizing over what is the best choice to make.

Nothing anyone says here can affect the outcome of your personal case, but people reading where you may have gone wrong is an invaluable resource to them.

This is most definitely a place to come to and receive support, but if someone does something that may not be the wisest move, I think others should be able to point that out for the benefit of everyone else.

Doesn't mean they are being mean, spiteful or not being supportive, all it does is show that they are being objective about the situation.

It has often been said here to NEVER EVER admit drug taking.

To admit is YOUR CALL, for you it might very be the best choice.

But for someone wondering whether to admit it who is reading the thread, the general consensus is NEVER admit it.

So for everyone to come along and say 'Oh you'll be fine, don't worry' is a double-edged sword, yes you feel happy and supported, but what about other people who might very see what you decided to do and thought 'oh she did the right thing, let me do the same'.

well if the person read my post in its entirety I don't see how they would be mislead by my experience. and I'm sorry if I don't agree that being objective about a situation that has already passed is extremely supportive.

On a lighter note! Melvin received his medical in Mobay and was told that the embassy would receive his results via mail. So hopefully things well will work out and the embassy will receive it on time. He said they did not use the sealed envelope technique with him  But thats okay. Thanks for your words of encouragement anyways.

Mr. Man did his medical today also but I forgot to ask him if they gave him the results. lol

Anyhoo because of an issue that prolly will come up at the interview (didn't want to risk lying) he checked yes to ever using drugs  so the doctor gave him a marijuana urine test NOT BLOOD. The doctor asked him when he used it and he told him that it was when he was a teenager and he was experimenting  . I'm confident he'll pass since he passed the blood test couple weeks ago. He believes the doctor would not have tested him if he didn't admit to using it in the past (on the medical sheet). The doctor also told him the blood test was only for HIV and I think TB.

So my advice, as others have said, is NEVER admit to using it unless you have some other reason to. And if for some reason you want to admit it, at least lie that it was over 3 years ago because they WILL ban you. And don't tek the urine weed test as gospel many people have been given blood and/or hair tests

I'll get back to you about whether they gave him the results or not.

Congrats on the medicals!

Hope everyone has been doing well!

So I need some :ot: help

So here is something WAY weird and awkward. Long story short I had a BFF in HS and we were very close even after HS we went to JA together a few times. Some stuff went down...not really sure what all happened but things changed and we lost contact. All I know is I don't think it was on the best of terms (just from what she has told others). So I have emailed her a couple times with no response. Her husband (from JA) and my hubby are friends so that makes things even more awkward. I think I have mentioned him a few times before (not the best influence). Anyways I have been gathering baby info for the future (just in one of those moods  ) and I joined a message board/group with only about 66 members. So I am looking around and reading all sorts of post and I come across a member that reminds me a little of this former BFF. Long story short I am 100% sure it is her. I know without a doubt that this member is her. Small world huh? So what would you do? She is very open and frank on the site and I don't know if she would be ok with me knowing all that info as I live near her and actually know her IRL. Should I tell her it's me or let her figure it out eventually? I really have no idea what to do

I agree. You have no responsibility to tell her who you are. You figured it out on your own..........

If you put your info out there on the net, people will see it.

Was her choice to put it out there, it may be more comfortable that you DON'T say anything.

You are a wise one, AG. Thanks for putting what I was thinking in words.

Thank you very much for the comment, glad others feel the same!!!

Wow...seems like I've missed a lot since I've been "gone".

We survived the Hurricane Dean. There was no major damage noted where I was staying. The power was off for a few days. Everyone is fine.

So interview.....

We got blue slipped to return with the no impediment form. Blue Slip is a request for more information. Fiance received form already and is schedule to return to the Embassy on Sept. 4th.

I had originally wrote a couple of paragraphs on the experience but it got erased. So I'm keeping this one brief.

Sorry.
