my fiance said the interview letter arrived. i was concerned because of the discrepancy futuremrs had with their interview date but ours said aug. 7th. with it being so close to the interview i'm not sure if he'll get his medical done in time. he said he's going to schedule it today. i'm not stressing about it though. i don't think it'll affect his arrival date.

hello everyone,

I had the baby on Monday and hubby passed his interview yesterday, he said the officer told him out of 45 people so far for the morning, he was the only one who got a visa. I'm still waiting to hear all the details so I can pass it along.

Thanks to and for all the VJers, who posted info and answered questions, I'm sure without VJ and that very important binder he would not have passed.

When Andre's sister was caught (smoked on the way to the medical), they told her right away

Really...i thought they give the embassy the info and they told them then..I don't know...but we'll know soon i guess :) God is on our side

How long ago did his sister go ? He hasn't smoked in 3 months..why did she do that ....

Last year. Because she's crazy like that. She paid the doctor off and got her visa.

3 months is plenty long. A few weeks would've worked. No worries.

Thank God my fiance doesn't smoke anymore.

I was pretty adamant on the point. I said if I go through all of this paperwork and hassle and then you screw it up cause of this, I will fly down there and kill you.

Jomo's girl that is EXACTLY what I told him..:)

The first thing she says is where is your fiance? So he goes on to explain the story and shows her some more proof (she was a little nicer this time)...some more photos, phone bills, etc....and she said "ok, i've seen enough papers and photos, now i just need to see your girl...please bring her here and there will be no more trouble for you" and she gives him another blue slip....and she writes on it 'fiance to attend' and then gives him a new date August 30!!! This is too funny! Here we go again!

Oh my gosh :o Why are they so adamant about you being there? This is the first time I've seen this required AND in writing on the blue slip. What is your age difference by the way? I can't think of anything else that would make them so suspicious.

Good luck

no age difference...i'm just 1 year older

How long have you guys known each other? There's gotta be something (probably stupid) as to what *they* are seeing or reading into. Have you been down to see him alot ? Has it been awhile since you guys saw each other?

Has he filed before ?

Today is not a good day  The buddy pass idea went kaput and there is no way I can afford a plane ticket so Marlon will be on his own.

Can't you just charge it on a credit card and pay it off later? One of my friends used her student loan money to visit JA every time she went!! There's always a way.

Alot of people don't have credit cards....just debit cards. If she can't go because of finances, there's no other way than. Yes it's frustrating....

It could just be nothing and she's just being a ball breaker..they're like that...

The couple people that I know of that got denied for ganja didn't find out UNTIL the interview at the embassy.

I think after 3 months he'll be ok.

I wonder how much it costs to pay off the doctor??? :P
