Validation at a bank? For beneficiary forms at the interview?

Color me confused.

Or are you talking about having something notarized?

Yeah I'm just as confused!! None of the DS forms that we had to fill out for Packet 3 (in the UK) had to be notarized....

When you say validated at a bank do you mean notarized??? I know that notarization can be done for free at US banks so maybe that what they mean??

There are some forms for the interview that need to be, but are any of those DS forms? I didn't think so, but I might be wrong.

Then again, you are I are UK, so maybe it's different for the Philippines?

Sorry, I'm still not following you.

Maybe someone else whose fiance/e is from Phils will happen in here and can understand the question.

This is specific to Philippines. The visa fee has to be paid at a bank. From what I've heard, some banks will stamp the back of a filled ds-157, other banks will only give you a blank ds-157 stamped on the back. It is essentially a receipt of payment. I think the packet 4 instructions say the bank will validate the ds-156, I think it's the 157 they actually validate. You could take both, just in case.

Right, thanks for the reply. (This thread was initially posted in the K1 forum and subsequently moved here. Otherwise I would have never tried to respond.)
