Quick question

Would I need to go through the whole thing again if me and my american husband would want to move back to the US after my greencard has expired? I still "only" have the greencard with a conditional status that will expire in december, and we will not be able to move back stateside before it`s expired, will we need to do the dance all over again, or is there something we can do to keep it "alive"?

I am Norwegian which allows direct consular filing, so it`s quite a lot easier that way, but still it would be nice if I could hold on to the one I currently have in my possesion.

I was told if you go to the Embassy you can have an extension to your card, something along those lines, ring the Embassy to find out your options, sorry I can not be more helpful.

Yes, call your nearest embassy and they should be able to tell you what you can do in this case.

Go to your embassy and get extension. Other wise, you gonna have a problem with that. They will think you abandon your visa.

How long have you been outside the US, where is your principle residence, what is your reason for being outside the US (something to do with your husband's work?) and why can't you move back to the US before X when you card expires?
