Hello Everyone, my question is about the waiting.

I was told the package was on its way to Moscow.

As I am becoming more anxious with the waiting, how long should I wait until my Fiance gets her package?

I have heard terrible stories about packages being lost or sent to the wrong office.

Should I call to confirm that they did receieve it?

wow, we have already recieved our Biometrics appointments. It is only 2 1/2 weeks away.

It seems to be moving rather quickly.

This is great.

For my husband it took almost a month for him to get his package from embassy ( that was in amman though) You may want to go the Regional Discussion and other people who went through Moscow since every embassy is different.

By the looks of your timeline. the embassy in Moscow probably doesn't have the paperwork from NVC yet....it takes a while. Her interview will probably be in about three months. Take a look at the US embassy Moscow website for her interview date to appear in a few weeks (maybe longer) using the case number they assigned at NVC. Also look at this site as you can find almost all the information that is in the package they will send to her. I hope she has already started to work at getting her police certificates as this sometimes takes a lot of time. Go to the Russia regional forum here on VJ for more details.

Be patient as you will not hear anything from them and will only know about the interview date when she gets the package or when it shows up on the embassy site. It's going to take a while....

My fiance & I have been waiting since Nov for our packet (from Amman). The embassy says they have sent out Packet 3 three times, in Nov, Dec & Jan and the appointment packet in Feb. We haven't received anything yet.

Then we got an email Mar 1st asking if we wanted to move our appointment from July to March. We didn't know we had an appointment and didn't have anything ready because we'd been waiting for that @%*# Packet 3. The embassy said to just download all necessary forms from the internet.

My advice is to look into what forms you're going to need and start getting them ready, in case your packet never comes. You can email the embassy and ask. I don't know about Moscow, but Amman was very prompt and helpful in answering all my questions. Good Luck.
