Minimum age to be approved for visa

Is there a minimum age to be approved for a visa, or just the standard age 18?

Not sure what you mean by this question. You can be under 18 and be approved for a visa, for example the K-2 or the K-4 visa, which is given to underage (under the age of 18) children of K-1 or K-3 visa holding adults.

Otherwise, for a K-1 I believe you have to be at least 18 years of age.

Someone will come along and correct me if I am wrong, though.

The standard here in the US for immigration purpose is 18. BUT another requirement the marriage ALSO has to be legal in the country that it was performed.

An example

In india the marriage age for girls is 18 and for boys it's 21

So if a girl here in the US is interested into marrying a boy from INDIA, they can't get marry in INDIA,

Their only options would be fiancee Visa as he's legit to get married here, but I don't know if that wedding would be recognized in India or if the immigration folks from India itself would give problems.

Gone but not Forgotten!

Proof of permission to marry if you or your fiancé(e) are subject to any age restrictions. (For instance, in some U.S. states, you must receive special permission to marry if you are under the age of 16.)

I guess it means you can get married younger than 18...

The OP asked about minimum age for a visa, not for marriage. We need more information before we can offer a comprehensive response to the original question.

If the question is the minimum legal age to get married, that differs from US state to state, and even from country to country. For the purposes of getting a visa to the US, on your own (not piggy-backing on someone else's visa like a K-2 or K-3) I believe the legal minimum age is 18.

If the foriegn fiance is under 18 years old, I think written permission from the parents is required--although I don't know the minimum age.

In my opinion, I think it would be a huge mistake to marry someone under the age of 18. Not because 18 is a magic age in which children suddenly become adults, but because a person that young still has a lot of maturing/growing to do.
