Hello everyone!

Hello everyone! I am going to file for K1 visa for my fiancé from Russia. Do I need to send tax return form or W-2 with my I-129F petition? If I do, then for how many years back. Please help. I cannot find this info anywhere.

If you look at the guides here on vj-it will explain what you need to send in......................I don't think you need to include any tax info when you submit the petition, that comes later in the process.

Am I right guys? Is the process any different when filing from Russia?

Not a bad idea; it does give them evidence of your income level (against poverty line) in the period prior to filing. I actually sent "full-uglys" of the four years prior (amended for 2001, 2002; as-was for 2003, 2004).

No tax return's were required for my fiance's K1 petition. They asked for 3 years tax returns with the I134 though - at the time of the interview. No need to send info that's not asked for nor needed at this point. Good Luck

Tax returns are only required with the I-134 that you submit at interview if you are self employed.

They are not a part of the I-129F package.

Doesn't hurt however--and for me, it actually proved to pay off in a way.

I only had to send one year's tax return (that for 2004), along with a current employment letter and paystub for the interview.
