well.. I have checked EVERYONE who is K-3 from Egypt.. and EVERYONEs case got marked RECEIVED from the embassy ONE WEEK or LESS from when it was sent !!!!!!!!!!.. Why the Fudgicles am i 40 days and counting and my case STILL HAS NOT BEEN OPENED??!!!! did those evil TROLLS lose my case??!! wallahi I'm about to go Postal if this doesnt get Opened ssooon!!!!!!!!! *kicking and wailing*

Ugh, so frustrating I know. Same thing happened with our petition when it got sent to Casablanca. Six weeks after it had left NVC, I still had no confirmation that it was recieved. I ended up getting my congressman to make an inquiry, and we got packet 3 right after that. Good luck!!

im sorry to hear that deemabrouk try to e-mail us embassy in egypt . im in the same boat kind of they got our packet 3 around JAN 10th 2007 and still till now NOTHING no interview dated im going crazy . bas inshallh you will hear somthing soon .

I know.....they are getting slower and slower.......i can not understand why everything is moving along SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much slower......to open a case is taken them forever.......people are waiting over 10 weeks now (& counting) to schedule an interview......AP is getting slower and slower....... a few years ago Cairo used to be A LOT more quicker.

I sent an email asking them when we could expect to be scheduled for an interview and they said that the case is under administrative processing............I think they're using that to answer any inquiry.

It looks as if they are REALLY preoccupied with the diversity lottery people.......more than half of the interviews scheduled for April are DV .....it's sooooooo unfair, they're getting their interivews in a matter of weeks & mind you they didnt wait for USCIS approvals.....meanwhile those who are waiting to be reunited with their spouses are looking at a 3 month to God only knows how long wait to schedule an interview.

I sent a email on Friday... But last night i looked at everybody's timeline and noticed the average( one week or less) A month has been wasted on the case JUST OPENING !!!!!!!!!! what the Heck are they doing over there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I keep on getting in fights over these STUPID papers..due to our OverWhelming stress and Depression over just visiting each other AGAIN.. He keeps on freaking out that he want to stop the papers.. and move Anywhere else in the world.. Which sounds like a good Idea.. but I am just NOT ready to do that quite yet. These Fing papers are the ONly thing that causes us to fight... I DONT get how people can deal with this.. We both Explode.. and then in the end cry.. I hate existing like this. It is torchure

Frustrating that they're saying the info is not complete, but very good news overall! Who knows, maybe someone spilled coffee on his address or something. At least you know now that the case has been received. Just email them back with the correct info and hopefully things wll be all back on track.

We actually received a very similar response. I figured maybe they were just verifiying I was who I said I was etc. Don't worry, as soon as they have the info, they should get his packet 3 to him.

I think I'm lucky 'cause we never argue about the visa process. Going into the marriage we both knew that it would take about a year from start to finish, give or take a few months. I knew because I had come here first and saw how slow Cairo was and he knew because his best friend in the whole world had to wait that long just to get into Canada to be with his wife. We really never talk about the process at all. The only thing we've ever fought about is how he seems to think one hour = three hours.

Maybe you both should just agree to not talk about the V for now and just focus on getting through one day at a time. I know the first few weeks after a visit are wicked hard but chin up and remember that it does pass and things get back to normal after a while. You're a very very strong woman and I know you can get through this. Look at what you've already gone through and got through in your life! You'll be ok. And hey, Red Sox opening day is coming up so you can start to obsess about scores and rankings soon with the rest of us!!!!!

we do try not to talk about it.. but especially now finishing these stupid papers.. and to him one month of waiting is like one year... Egyptian time... ya gotta love it
