Hi there

Just wondering if anyone out there knows if I require my passport for my immigration medical??? I am Canadian and due to the "big rush" on getting passports....I still do not have mine. I finally got ahold of them today and was more than disappointed at the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the person I talked to...but thats a story for another time. Anywhooo....I have my physical booked for Apr 12 and I'm worried my passport won't be here by then.

So of course "the worrier" in me is coming out and wondering "do they need the passport?"...if so...why???

Oct 1/09 - I-751 package sent

Oct 3 - package delivered

Oct 5 - NOA mailed

Oct 13 - 1st NOA received and additional letters for my daughters I filed with. NOAs stated Resident Status

has been extended for 1 year and that we will be receiving a letter for an ASC appointment for

fingerprints, photo, and signature.

Dec 2009 - Received 10 year permanent resident card.

Feb 2010 - My children received their 10 year permanent resident cards.

Oct 2010 - My children were legally adopted by my USA Citizen husband.

i had my physical today and only had to show my state ID (i'm already in the US adjusting from f1) .

I did indeed need my passport.

However, I would check with the place your having your medical at to make sure.

K-1 visa issued: 12/15/2006

107 days from mailing AOS package to receiving green card! Received 6/27/07 dated 6/20/07

Removing conditions:

mailed 5/22/2009

Recieved at CSC 5/23/2009

Check cashed 5/27/09

NOA date 5/26/09 - still not received

I-551 stamp in passport 6/19/09

Biometrics notice date 6/16/09

Biometrics received 6/20/09

Biometrics apt date 7/9/09

Biometrics cancellation notice 6/27/09

Biometrics apt notice date 6/26 recieved 7/7

Biometrics apt 7/22/09

Touch 7/22/09

Finally able to see online info 7/22/09

Card production email 8/19/09 date ordered 8/18

Recieved approval letter in mail 8/19/09 date 8/13!

Is this for your K1 (pre-interview) Medical?

If so - I believe you'll need whatever ID you would normally use - plus your NVC-Case number to be put on the medical report the doctor sends to the consolate/embassy...can ask the doctor's office when you call for your appointment...

Check your Embassy section for more specific requirements (ID and/or other items needed)

August 28/06 Left NVC. . . Vancouver Bound!

September 27/06 Interview APPROVED, with visa in hand

October 29/06 Moving Date

December 30/06 Married!!

January 16/07 Sent out AOS, EAD, and AP docs

January 23/07 NOA1's for AOS, EAD and AP

February 13/07 Biometrics in Portland, OR

April 7/07 EAD and AP Received

April 24/07 Interview Scheduled . . . and APPROVED, stamp and all!

May 7/07 Greencard is in my hands!

ROC Journey:

February 17/09 Sent I-751 to CSC

February 18/09 NOA1

March 14/09 Biometrics appt.

April 22/09 Date of Approval!!

June 25/09 Greencard arrives in the mail!
