:yes::dance: I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

Aside from the waiting, the interview wasn't bad. (See my consular review for more on the interview.) He was approved and congratulated on the day of the interview but had to present a new police certificate - the one he had was 2 months old and they told him that they were being very careful to have it be more recent because of Cuba's terrorist status. I don't know if this is standard or how recent the report needs to be but if you're at that point in the process in Cuba, you might want to contact USINT to find out. The interview was Thursday, USINT was closed Friday, and when he brought the new certificate Monday, they didn't have time to finish the processing so he picked up the visa today.

A package I sent him by DHL which had additional evidence of our relationship didn't arrive on time because it was delayed by DHL's inspection process - (yes, this is because Cuba is a terrorist country!) so I advise sending stuff 2 weeks in advance. Luckily they didn't ask for any additional proof.

On to the Cuban exit process. My fiance tells me that he has heard that currently this takes an average of 15-20 days but, of course we all know that all parts of the visa process are largely a matter of luck as far as waiting time goes.

This is wonderful news. I am truly happy for you. Wow, you give me so much encouragement that we wil be approved as well. I am looking forward to my fiance's interview day.

Question: since my fiance received his Police cert in late Feb do you think he should go ahead and get another one right before his Apr 3rd interview?

I was so excited when I found out all went well. I also appreciate your help and support with this process, being as I am a handful of months behind you. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

03/16/03: Met the love of my life

01/24/06: Officially began our relationship

11/01/06: He proposed marriage :)

02/17/07: I-129F Sent to NSC

02/23/07: I-129F NOA1

02/28/07: I-129F NOA2 (found out while checking on-line)

03/02/07: Received hard copy NOA1

03/08/07: Received hard copy NOA2

03/13/07: NVC sent packet to La Habana

03/27/07: Telegram "sent" to fiance to pick up packet 3... never received

04/02/07: I contacted the "embassy" to find out status of case and set up pick up date

04/04/07: Fiance picked up packet 3

04/05/07: I called toll-free # here to set up appointment for my fiancé

05/10/07: Interview scheduled for 7:30AM... Visa Approved!!!!!!!!

05/14/07: Picks up passport/visa and brown sealed envelope

05/15/07: Paperwork for the carta blanca turned in

05/24/07: Carta Blanca received and bought plane ticket

06/04/07: Entry into the US... together again!!!!!!!

08/07/07: MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
