My I-129F for K-3 has not been touched since 01-23-2007 (California Service Center). it was touched 5 to 6 times before this date.

Normally after how many months, one should expect NOA2?

Thanks,

You might not receive any more touches on your petition until approval. That's just how CSC works sometimes. In our case, it took nearly four months to get an approval, but right now, the average for K-3 December filers at CSC is 62 days. You can follow fellow VJers timelines by going here http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/ and doing a timeline search.

Hope you get an approval soon. :)

You will know your case has been touched when the date changes on your case file, that is, if you have a case file on the USCIS website. It will not mention a 'touch'. If the date reflected is later than the last one posted....simply, it has been touched.

All you have to do is go to this link https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp , which is the page where you register with the USCIS web site. You will need your receipt # from your NOA1 and then that way you can keep track of your case. Like they said above, if the date changes from the last time you logged in, it means it has been touched.

Then they haven't touched it. Based on other people's timelines, I've noticed that it can take from 2-4 months before you can get an NOA2.

Yeah, but most people have touches within the first week or so. Really anxious about the visa, too, because my wife and i are separated until the visa clears, and she doesn't get to be with our 2 year old son! Particularly hard whe he starts crying asking where Mommy is)

YOU try explaining that to a 2 year old.... My wife is having a much harder time than me. Its hard to explain to her, too. The whole business makes it hard enough to talk to begin with.

I know sometimes it takes this long, sometimes a lot longer. Sometimes a LOT longer. Unfortunately, this doesn't help in the slightest.

FYI: Unfortunate turn of events and my job ended when a co-worker had to leave suddenly (dark skin doesn't get you very far in Thailand). Add in the military coup, the changes in the visa laws, the fact that I'd taken a long vacation to be with my family on news of the vacation, and getting a (legal) new job in Thailand in the best of circustances is unreliable at best, I had to go back and send for the visa. Frustration on frustration upon frustration for all of us. Thats all leading to the visa application...
