I've just read the topic: "Manila Embassy Interview Dates Website, Has any1 had trble viewing this recently?" by Rick2000 and George-Jenny. They gave the link http://203.177.135.10/ivappointment/login.asp , i visited it and wonder if we can check our case or interview dates in Viet Nam?

US Consulate in Saigon has no such website. You must phone in for your case status or interview date but be prepared for the rudeness from the Vietnamese staff working there. Other than that, you can also email and that's about all you can get from this Consulate. Good luck

I used to be indecisive. Now I am just not sure ...

Yeah, you would think that HCM would put up a site for us, save some salary on their rude employees who obviously get, 'Do I have an interview date yet?' thousands of times a day.

The rude caller who calls 1000 times would cause the employee at the consulate turns into a rude responder soon enough! I know I would be! Personally, I found the email communication channel is the most affective way of obtaining information and correspondence with HCMC. Plus, it leaves an audit-trail for future reference. Phone call is too easy for the workers at HCMC to tell you whatever they want to get you off the phone and plus it costs money for those long distance on-hold calls. I don't waste my resource on thing like that... Wait... what am I doing here... :innocent::innocent::innocent:

Emailing HCMC has my vote!

If you do call, do so between 8-10AM Vietnam time. I have called twice and have gotten a person each time within two rings.

Also, both times, the ladies were very nice. I figured since it was early in their day, they are more likely to be nice and help you answer your questions. If you call then towards the end of the day, they will most likely be tired and not willing to help.

Just my 2 cents.
