Yes the K1 visas just go to NVC for short time and then off the embassy. Good luck on getting an interview date soon.

I think for now we are all set......................He has all the paperwork(I brought it with me in Jan). I just have to have my affidavit of support notarized, and type up a new letter of intent. I will bring those with me when I go for his interview.

One question...............I had a letter typed up from my employer back in January, If I have current pay stubs, will that letter be ok, or should I get another one? I figured it would be fine as long as I can prove I still work here-what do you guys think?

Your letter should be fine! Rob's letter for our K1 was from July 2005 and our interview wasn't until Sept 2005 and there was no issue with it. I brought updated payslips with me to the interview incase they asked...they didn't!

Good Luck!!! And if you don't hear anything from the Embassy in a week and a half, call them and be super nice, explain you haven't received a letter yet and have they a date scheduled for your interview. And it's better if you call them, they prefer to talk to the USC. ;) This is what we did and we got a date over the phone and an interview letter arrived a week later!

Thanks Amanda-I will wait & see if Gavin gets something in a week or two. I have heard that Dublin is very easy to deal with(well at least I hope so). Providing Gav gets his police cert-we are all set ;)

Now I have to figure out how I can get off for the interview-I work 2 jobs so I have 2 bosses to deal with :o
