We can organize a "Welcome to the Canadian Visa Journey meet and greet!"

The only membership requirement is that your not a crazy, internet stocker, and BAM! your in!

We can even advertise that our members are definitely not criminals (as per our police certificate), were in good health (proven by our medical examination - vaccinations and all), we have all be born (just look at our long version of our birth certificate), our significant others are financially stableish (all above the poverty line - I-134 - aren't we snobs!), and we have proven to be goal oriented, strong minded alien immigrants, that have an extreme ability to deal with bureaucratic ####### (the WHOLE ENTIRE PROCESS!!!). Once our membership expands, we can start chapters in other city's. Our crede could be "WE survived US Immigration - so take that Homeland Security!".

The only rules - Everyone will have to bring either Tim Horton's, Montreal bagels, real Maple Syrup, Coffee Crisp and Humpty Dumpty BBQ/Ketchup Chips. Of course, I am totally open to other home sweet home goods, but at least we will have a foundation of excellence - Us Canadians do have our superior standards!

Here is a funny note, for my wedding ceremony, I am asking each member of my family to bring a dozen Montreal bagels with them! All I have to do is find a freezer to store them and I am laughing!!!!!!!!!! I thought that was quite clever of me, it I do say so myself....hehehe

you can add butter tarts to the list of things they could bring to join:-). Yep - have my big Canadian flag and several small paper Canadian flags - and Canadian/American flag pins for both of us!

I got my Canadian flag years ago when um, some politician was doing some campaign and you could write into the Federal government and request one for free. So I did and they sent me one. It's big too!

Good luck with your interview - one question, do you have your Birth Certificate "Copy of Act", its certified translation and notary seal?

I got my long certificate too when I first joined this site and started reading ahead about packet 3. I had no idea that in Ontario the long certificate they keep and issue certified copies of are the ones that your parents fill out by hand! My mom made a few mistakes on it and had to scribble stuff out!

And oh dont mind me if I bring a Quebec's flag, its just more my color But i got nothing against the rest of canada and NEVER ever wanted to get separated from it!!!

Of course you can bring it, it's part of your heritage!
