I'm the USC but attending the interview with my fiance.

I plan on bringing a scrapbook of pictures I made (we don't have new ones though :(), 10 e-mails, proof of calling card purchase, and a few letters/cards from him.

He'll bring presents I've sent him since we last saw each other.

I don't think we'll need it since I'm travelling to Brazil for the interview, but I believe in CYA :innocent:

All of your posts sound good.

Along with what I call our "new" proof we have the I-129F, originals of all of the proof we sent, our NOA2, and my fiance bought us rings.

He told me tonight he has other surprises, one of which I can use once we meet in the airport next week (but it's not the ring)....

We plan on going through a list of possible questions. We know a lot about each other - being together since '04, living together, etc. but CYA.

Good luck to us and to you Joey & Fernanda!!

I can only speak for the Manila Embassy... scrap books are not recommended as the proof you bring has to fit under the security window, suggest loose pictures only... ATM receipts, Passport stamps, Hotel receipts and boarding passes are better proof that he/she has visited you in your country. Email/chat logs instead of actual emails worked for us. However, like others have stated, the prescreener and CO just kind of fanned through the proof of relationship documents. They were more concerned with divorce decrees/annullments, the Affidavit of Support with ITRs... I do not remember them even asking about the updated letters of intent to marry, the bank statements or letter form my employer even though we handed them the entire stack together. We had to divide the documents up so they would fit under the window  . Ken & Maria

As far as I know, Brazil doesn't have such a limitation on what we can bring with us. I know they're strict on cell phones - but then again, doesn't seem to be as much as the Manila consulate.

I'll bring the scrapbook and if I have to leave it in a room then we will. I have an "accordian" folder with our documents, proof, etc.

My flight to Rio is about 8 hours I think', but I have one layover - an hour north of Rio. I don't even think I exit the plane however.

Good luck on your 20-hour flight! It'll be worth it :P

Again only speaking for the Manila Embassy. There is no room, just a window with the interviewer behind it. The USC is allowed at both the prescreener and CO interviews. They actually asked me more questions then my fiancee, which I did not mind. Ken

They allow (invite) the USC in with their fiance at the interviews in Rio (Brazil).

I have read cases where they interview the USC as much, if not more, than their Brazilian fiance.

I'm glad for this - it's nice for us to be together for support and to show the chemistry we have - and how we communicate.
