We bought a car today (boring reliable gold Nissan Altima), & we should be on the road Wednesday (more likely Thursday morning) arriving in LA Monday...?

Even though I lived there back in my wilder days, and have plenty of peeps still there - I'm nervous as heck about it all. About driving all that myself (no license for J yet), nervous to start life anew YET AGAIN (moved from LA - NYC 7/98, NYC - London 9/03, London - Ohio 10/05).

I know my beloved hubby is with me, and we will make it just fine. But please cross your fingers for a safe drive, quickly finding jobs (he has leads already) & finding a super cute LA bungalow apt!:star:

Have a great and safe journey!

Speaking of Road Trips, me and my fiancee were reminiscing about our road trip in August/September 2006. We travelled from Virginia (through Ohio ;)) all the way to California and then back - totalling 8500 miles or so. Best experience of our lives.

Very cool! My hubby saw your pretty red rock pics & was excited. I'm excited for him to see Cadillac Ranch & The Grand Canyon, etc. I've done this drive 3x (to LA only) and I always say it's soooooooo boring till Texas or so. Midwestern blah! I can't imagine driving back East.

We drove LA -> Vancouver last year & it was pretty cool.

Everybody else: Thanks! ;) Will let you know when we get there...

Have a great and safe drive.

I found www.westsiderentals.com to be the best investment when looking in LA for a place. Let us know where you settle.
