Medical Exam London

My husband lives in London and our application has been approved, but not received by NVC yet. I understood that my husband would need two vaccinations and we dicided to get these done before we received the packet as one is the MMR and there is one month in between the two doses for this particular vaccination. My husband decided to visit his GP and make an appointment. He went and the nurse told him that he could not give him the the vaccinations as he should have had them as a child. He said he would need to see an official letter before he was able to give the vaccinations.

Has this happend to anyone else? We really don't want to wait as we know he needs them so it is better to get them now so we aren't delayed later. I have since scanned the approval letter from USCIS and sent my husband the link:

and asked him to print both and make another appointment. I am not sure if it would be beneficial to send anything else with him, aside from the official letter that is yet to come, but any suggestions from anyone who has been in this situation would be very helpful!

MMR is typically given as a series to children, although it might not have been combined as an MMR when your husband was a child. David did not have any of his vaccincation records, so his GP drew his blood and checked his titer levels for everything.... all he needed was an updated tetanus vaccine.

My husband had his MMR at his doctor's last week. He is old enough that he never had it as a child but they also don't have his childhood medical records. I think if there is no record of your husband's childhood shot then they will give it to him anyway when he has his medical. Also note that the MMR can be 1 dose or 2 doses (4 weeks apart) but it is more likely to be 1 dose. My husband only had the 1 shot.

I had only the one shot at the original medical in London (cost i think was £65) (tetinus was £15) so it might be easier to just get them done at the medical!!!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much. Whatever you haven't had they can give you in London on the day. It will cost more but it's better than having the visa delayed.
