feeling so deflated

I've just kissed goodbye my fiancee from London Gatwick airport, she goes back to the states today, and I feel like cr#p............. :crying: , if you pardon my French.

I have so much admiration for the couples in this forum who have had to spend long periods apart from their loved ones, because of the visa process. Myself and Courtney have been lucky and she has spent the last six months in the UK, while our K1 has been processed..... still it doesn't stop me missing her like crazy now.

I only thank god I have a few days two pick myself up for the K1 interview in London (Thursday), because at the moment I would probably look suicidal to a consular officer! :hehe:

Seriously though guys.... I ADMIRE YOU PEOPLE WHO HAVE TO BE APART FOR SO LONG AND ARE STILL SO STRONG INSIDE......... you deserve all the happiness that you are despertaley waiting for

regards

Paul

I understand how you feel, Paul, though I've never had the luxury to be with my fiance for months at a time.

We've been apart now for a year and 3 months (3 visits so far), and probably have another year to year and a half ahead of us. It sucks, but it would suck even worse to not have found him at all. So I can deal.

But I still am awash with tears at those horrible airport goodbyes. (F)

Paul, I am feeling for you, even though we are moving to be with our daughter I was apart from her father so many times, and for long periods due to him being in the military, so I certainly know what it is like!

You WILL pick yourself up for your interview because you know that everything depends on it, all my good wishes are going your way Paul, take heart, you will soon be back with her

Good luck to you on your interview, I'm glad it is soon, it will help keep you busy while you are apart.

I found that the first few weeks after I left my husband in Morocco was the worst time for both of us. We did eventally get over it enough to function, but that is rough! I remember waking up each morning and thinking...oh yes...I am alone. A nightmare!

Hang in there, it isn't much longer for you!

Paul I know how your feeling and hope things are brighter tomorrow. I have been away from my husband over one year and it is good days and bad days. So just take it one day at a time and pray for patience on this journey. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

It is always horrible saying goodbye to someone you love. But, once you get the interview out of the way, you can then make arrangements to be together.............FOREVER! How great does that sound?

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!

It was very hard for me to leave Ewen after being in Scotland over New Year; he had his visa already, but we didn't yet know when he'd be coming over, and so we weren't sure when we'd see each other again! Talk about :( and  ...

So we've been apart for just about a year now, with 3 visits (thankfully), but I would be lying if I said the separation wasn't starting to wear pretty hard on me. I won't miss the distance when he gets here in April.

Hey Paul,

Wont be long now before you will be flying home. It does get easier as time goes on but the best way to think is this will be the last time your apart which is easier said than done but it does get easier. Me and Mandy will be at the embassy on Thursday morning and we have our interview scheduled for 11am and i see yours is 10.30am so maybe we will see you there.

Chin up and all the best for the interview.

Tom

Hang in there.....we've been together almost 6 years with about 11 visits in there (some for upto a couple months, some for only a couple weeks!) so it's been a long journey. If the person is worth it you're willing to spend that time apart!

Absolutely. James and I had our last sad goodbye in December, it was so excited to know that was (hopefully!) the last time we had to be apart! Although, after having done it for 6 years it was a little sad in that it was the end of sort of an era.
