Dr. says that due to complications my wife can only travel 2 more months. My documents should be sent to the embassy soon as I am sending in the DS-230 tomorrow. Any thoughts how I can speed up things? Will there be problems with the vaccines? Can I get a cheaper first class ticket for my wife? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Most non-US carriers offer free basinets... good luck! My wife is separated from our baby and me until the visa goes through. doesn't seem to be much of a motivator to speed things up unfortunately.

I had the same problem, had to have the baby in the Philippines, even though the visa was issued a few days before the birth. My congressman was unsucessful at speeding it- the embassy does not consider a pregnancy an emergency in the Philippines. Now I am waiting for citizenship/passport for the baby.

Message me if you have any questions- its been harrowing, and I have a lot to share.

I just got an interview date for May 1. The Thai Embassy told me they could move that up due to my fiance's pregnancy, but I haven't gotten a new date from them yet. From what I read, for K visas, they can't require any of the vaccines, only recommend. My fiance didn't have to take them. Just tell the doctor that she's pregnant when she goes for the exam. She will have to do them later in the US during the AOS process. Good luck.

Well, since no one else has said it, I'll say it: CONGRATULATIONS!
