First of all I want to thank this site for all the wealth of information it has.

It was a pleasent surprise when I received EMAIL notification that my I129F was approved. Just 12 days from the time it was received by USCIS!

My Timeline:

17-Mar-05 Got engaged in INDIA.

23-Feb-06 Sent I129F to USCIS

24-Feb-06 Received by USCIS

27-Feb-06 Priority Date, 1st NOA mailed

10-Mar-06 I129F Approved by USCIS, 2nd NOA mailed

This may be a dumb question, but why is there such a huge difference in wait times between VSC and CSC? Is it the sheer volume of applications and such that the CSC gets. Is it the difference in the work ethic of the East and West coast? "Dude, surfs up!" And it's just going to get far, far worse if they enact this guest worker/amnesty program that D.C. thinks is the greatest thing since interns started working at the Capital and the WH...lol

First of all congrats on a speedy approval

As to the question on why there is a difference between centers, I am not quite sure, I know TSC is no longer doing marriage based petitions and are forwarding them to CSC, so that might be where part of the delay .....But hang in there it took 3 months for my approval and I feel your pain. Good luck and your time soon come bwaaderant there is a TSC/CSC list in the Service center forum..check that out to give oyu an idea of where the CSC is on processing.

11/03/2005 - NOA 1 from CSC

11/07/2005 - Check cashed

02/03/2006 - NOA2 by e-mail

05/03/2006 - Leave for Jamaica

05/09/2006 - Interview "VISA APPROVED"

05/15/2006 - Return from Jamaica

05/22/2006 - Called off the wedding and Adrian left

Congratulations on your approval!!!!!!!!!! Feels great doesn't it? :luv:

Looks like to me, if there is such a backlog of petitions at CSC then they would divvy up some to other service centres to help ease the strain...it took 104 days for our petition. I'm just glad we're through that stage though. :)
