We received the NOA2 for both our I29F and I30 on Friday.

The I30 has my name as the petitioner and my wifes name as the beneficiary.

But... the I29 has my name as both petitioner AND beneficiary.

Uhhh....

Is this right, or do they think I am married to myself? :help:

You must as expected, get ahold of the U.S.C.I.S. first and foremost and let them know. But if it is being sent already to NVC, which might be the case, but this soon....who knows. I would call NVC and see if they can give you an answer as what to do if it is making it's way there and soon to the embassy. As it is their mistake, it must still be fixed by them, but must be initiated by you to do so.

Good Luck..

You call USCIS at 1 (800) 375-5283 even though your case is already sent to NVC.

I contacted the USCIS at the above number this morning and talked to a very nice lady who reads from a script extremely well.

When I explained to her the situation her reaction was 'OHHHHH....'

After a brief pause, she read a prepared statement to me that said something about 'errors or omissions on a 797 Notice of Action only require correction when they may result in denial of employment..' and a few other obsure reasons that did not seem to apply to this situation.

However, after further discussion, we decided it was best to fax a letter along with a copy of the 797 to the CSC and let them determine if anything else needed to be done.

I have sent the fax along with a full explanation of the issue and asked them to contact me if I needed to take any further action.

If anyone else has any suggestions.... I'm all ears...
