Hi. Our package is at the embassy in Manila. They received it on Jan. 25. I have called them a couple of times and I have managed to confuse myself just a little more. So I am going to ask some of you that have gone through this process recently to explain some things to me. I have read numerous times that the fiance's packet three will be mailed to her and she sends it back to the embassy. Tonight when I spoke with the embassy about DS-156 I was informed that she will be required to fill packet three information out online-is this correct and if so any information you can provide is of course appreciated. My fiance is annulled and I was told that she needs to check off the divorced box-does that follow procedure with what some of you have experienced? One last question. My fiance has an 8 year old son that will be coming with her as a K-2 derivitative. I keep looking for information about what is required for him-specifically is there a requirment of the father giving permission for him to leave the Philippines. My fiance has full custody but if a document is required I would like us to get it soon. In all my reading this issue is not mentioned at all. I thank you all in advance-your wonderful. Marlou&Ron

there is no packet 3 for Manila. your fiancee wiil receive the Fiancee Visa Appointment Packet about a week to 10 days after being scheduled an interview. she will bring all the documents the day she has her interview. yes, the DS-156 will be filled out online for both the K-1 and K-2 visa applications.

May I suggest you join the Manila Embassy Interview thread in the Embassy Forum. lots of members there going thru the same things as you .

Hello,

Our petition is currently in process too at the USE Manila. My fiancee got the noticed receipt last 01/30/2007. And same thing, she was told she will receive the packet 4 (or whatever it is called) days before her scheduled interview. Now my question since you called the USE Manila, do we have to call and schedule the interview or they will do the scheduling for us? I am so confused of when are they going to tell us the interview date so as the medical appointment date.

Thank you and good luck!

Thank you! So we wouldn't have to bother calling the USE...just wait for the packet and the interview date :) I know they will schedule it soon. Just preparing all the necessary papers right now and almost done.

Thanks again!

looking at your timeline, I'd guess you will have a late May, early June appointment. between the 15th and 20th of March, use the appointment check in the Embassy website to check for an appointment date. Sheriff Uling also has a link to it in his signature.

CoCopuff and Malou_ron join us in the Manila Emabssy thread. Many members in ther going through the process u have just begun. K1 interviews are scheduled by the Embassy, no need to call them. Annullments are tricky and need documentation, ask the experienced members in the manila Embassy thread. The CFO and Mediacl requirements are confusing and members in the manila Embassy Thread have compiled the most up-to-date information based on the last people going through the process. Welcome and good luck, ken&Maria
