Oi, gente

Nos casamos aqui nos EUA, mas gostariamos de registrar o nosso casamento no Brasil. Estamos indo em menos de um mes e ja sabemos que e necessario enviar o documento original (Marriage Certificate) para o Consulado do Brasil para que eles autentiquem, e depois esse papel vai ser traduzido por um tradutor ligado ao Cartorio no Brasil. Enfim, minha pergunta: alguem sabe quanto e a taxa para eles registrarem o casamento no Brasil, e tambem por quanto esta trabalhando um tradutor?

Oi Luciene,

Eu registrei meu casamento no consulado brasileiro. Você tem que preencher um formulário, levar a sua certidão de nascimento (com menos de 6 meses), a certidão de nascimento do seu marido e a certidão de casamento americana. Custou US$20. Aí eles vão te dar um papel de registro de casamento, em português, prá você poder registrar o casamento no Brasil.

Eu não sei exatamente quanto tempo leva porque eu fiz quando o consulado itinerante veio a Phoenix e eles estavam fazendo tudo na hora. Você provavelmente vai ter que contactar o consulado da sua jurisdição prá saber como fazer, pois você vai ter que assinar um papel no final. Também não sei como é para registrar no Brasil pois ainda não voltei lá.
