Need info the steps and process to getting my guy here from England

I am new here and I don't know anything about getting a visa for my guy who lives in Dudley, West Midlands, England. I live in Xenia, Ohio (U.S.A.). We are not engaged yet but seriously talking about marriage and a future together. He wants to move here to be with me. What should we do first? He is coming to visit me in June-so I am thinking that we should try to do something while he is here to start the visa process. I don't know what a "CIS" office is or where there is one in Ohio. He lives near Birmingham, England-so prehaps he needs to go there to get a visa. He lives 3 hours away from London. Please tell us what we need to do and which visa would be best for us to get. Thank you for any help that you can give us!

First of all - read the GUIDES here at VJ (top tabs) they will give you all the info you need to start - where to go what to get (you can the forms online btw - the guides give the URLs), the steps to take etc etc. They are a great resource and really helpful

After you've gone partially blind reading all the guides then come back and ask any questions you still have or are unsure about.
