Just a quick update on my case. We were hoping for an April interview for our CR1 visa. Unfortunately, the new interview schedule that came out did not have our case listed. I e-mailed the Mumbai embassy last Thursday to see if they can add us. To date, I have not received any response from them, so now we have to accept the fact that me and my wife will not be reunited until early June timeframe.

However maybe you will be scheduled for like a May 1st interview, which is almost like a late April interview! Good luck for an early reunion!

Hi everyone, a quick update on our case--- Our case was transferred from the Mumbai Consulate to the New Delhi Consulate on March 15. Hubby missed delivery of packet three since he was in Kerala gathering documents he would need for the interview etc. However, we were told that he could pick up packet three at the window and even fill it out there and turn it in if he has all of the necessary documents. Problem is we don't know everything that is in packet three so we're having to guess. Hubby is having to get police certificates. Fortunately he won't need one from Kerala since he just replaced his passport. But he will have to go to Mumbai and get a pcc from there. The good news is that there is no way he can get one from Saudi since they only give them to their natives or non Saudi natives who are living or working there. ...Hopefully if hubby turns in packet three information before the end of the month, we will be scheduled for an interview in April. The guy at the Visa Help desk at the New Delhi Consulate said that once packet three is received they usually schedule the interview in week one or two of the following month. Everyone please send up prayers for us that our interview will be soon."

Hi Mrs Ayilliath, sounds like your guy is pretty busy going up and down the length of India! Good luck with him getting that Packet 3 in and Interview being scheduled FAST!

My guy went from Hyderabad to his village near Rajahmundry for birth & police certificate, then to Visakhapatnam for police certificate, then back to Hyd, now onto Chennai for medical, then back to Hyd, then to Chennai again for the Interview.

Anyone have a May interview scheduled at the Mumbai consulate? Our case has been there since early March.. and we have not heard anything from the consulate.. i'm kinda getting worried

Well I called the DOS (Department of State) based on advise I received from a fellow VJ'er and found out that the interview has been scheduled for May 4th. This is good and bad news at the same time. Good in that it's been finally scheduled.. bad in that the interview date conflicts with my wifes final exams. So it looks like we'll need to reschedule her interview date.

Any thoughts on rescheduling interviews at the Mumbai consulate for those that may have experience in this matter?

ELW, Wow your guy is traveling alot too! Hubby is back in Delhi now going to the embassy tomorrow then making arrangements to head to Mumbai. I wish there was an easier way to do all of this but since they have no centralized records, there's nothing more to do I guess except be patient. Pray for us to have a fast interview date scheduled especially since he's turning in the packet tomorrow when he gets it.

My guy is settled back in Hyd and has his Chennai train reservation for the 11th evening, for interview there on 13th morning. It is SUCH a relief to have all paperwork out of the way. Now only sweating (literally - it's really HOT there now haha) and studying for the interview questions.
