Hi friends,

We have just found out that our petition is approved (NOA2) and know that its on its way to NVC now, and then over to Swedish Embassy.

Is there any steps we can take now to move this along? I have heard rumours that I can contact the embassy and have package 2 send out, and as soon as they get it back from me, they can schedule me for a medical and then interview. Woudl this be right, anyone? Or do we just have to wait a little more, to hear from the embassy and then start paperwork accordingly? As anyone else, we're anxious to get this moving!

Any of u filed or filing at swedish embassy who knows? Thanks alot!

Vic & Phil.

I would wait. NVC was quick. vermont sent my NOA2 on Dec. 30 and NVC recieved it Jan 2. I recieved my approval from NVC jan 10. Jan 30 i just recieved Packet 3 today from Bangkok Emabassy. Sweeden is a lot closer to than Thailand so i would guess it wont take as long for you.

you can try to call the U.S. Embassy in Sweeden. After you have your case number from NVC. Maybe they can schedule an appointment. If not just wait. It wont be too long.

good luck.

There aren't many timelines here from Sweden, but from the 3 I see from last year, Sweden is extremely fast ... average was just over a month from the consulate receiving the application until the interviews. Circumstances change though, it may be longer now.

If I was you, I would go to this web page at the US Embassy in Stockholm. I haven't read it, but it does discuss the fiance(e) visa.

You should get the appropriate forms in advance and start gathering the details and documents that you will need. For example, do you have your fianancial affidavit (I-134) ready?

Best of luck,
