NOA1 Clairification??!

Hi all,

This may seem like a somewhat silly question- but I was just wondering..do you count your NOA1 date as the date posted on the uscis case status ie: "On November 16, 2006, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case...." etc etc or is your NOA1 the date that you receive NOA1 by snail mail??

Again, I know this may be silly- but just wanted to clear it up! Thanks!

I went by the date it was issued.

how is it possible that you have access to the uscis case status if you dont already have your NOA1? When you get it in the mail, NOA1 date will be the date it was issued.

1) OP did not mention that she did not have the hard copy

or

2) You can get your case number off the back of your canceled check in lieu of the hard copy from the USCIS
