Infopass Appointment Tomorrow

OK, so here's where I'm at:

Oath been in scheduling queue for over a month now at a relatively low-volume office (St Louis). Can't for the life of me understand why I haven't been scheduled for Friday's October 31st ceremony (or maybe I have and this is just one of "those" cases where I haven't received a letter) and I'm tired of waiting, so I've scheduled an infopass for tomorrow.

I was wondering if anyone who's been in a similar situation in the past could share their experience with me? Will they even entertain the notion seeing as it's not been 45 days yet? Or is 34 close enough!!?? I have a flight home scheduled for the 19th of November (which I can change if necessary without too many issues) - would bringing proof of that itinerary help any?

Sooooooooo frustrating..............

I have a feeling that this is one of those cases that's been lying on someone's desk unnoticed for weeks. At the bare minimum, I hope this visit jump-starts the process.

I don't think it can hurt to take your proof of travel. Always take more than you think you will need. Simply explain that you thought you would be scheduled for this months oath ceremony. The worst they can tell you is that it was already full and you will be receiving something shortly. You don't have much to lose.

Having your Oath for after your travel will save you the expedited passport fee. It isn't a bad thing to wait until next month for your Oath.

Actually, it is. For personal reasons that I'm not going into on here, it really, really is!!!

Well, I have my answer. It's a complete pile of , but at least it makes sense. Yes, my local office is St Louis, but I live on the Illinois side of the river. And the monthly naturalization ceremonies in St Louis ar e only for Missouri residents. Because you have to naturalise on the state in which you reside. Even if St Louis is easily the closest field office. And for those of us unfortunate enough to live over the state line in Southern Illinois? FOUR CEREMONIES A YEAR! The next one "probably" in December. I'm LIVID! This is an absolute joke!

Odd, I'm in a similar situation, I live near Little Rock, AR, but my field office is Memphis, TN. I was told my oath ceremony might be either in Little Rock or in Memphis, nothing about having to be in Little Rock, where, from what I can tell, the last oath ceremony was in 2013 (I hear they do it twice a year or less in Little Rock, and twice a month in Memphis).

Not really, I live in the middle of Arkansas, 15 minutes from Little Rock, but Little Rock has no field office, the field office for Arkansas is in Fort Smith, all the way to the northeast of the state, and everyone in my county is assigned to Memphis instead of Fort Smith.
