Hello everyone, I am not sure if I am doing this right since I am very new to this forum, But if anyone can please give input I would greatly appreciate it..............I just returned from the most beautiful experience of my life going to Tangier Morocco and finally meeting the man I have cooresponded with and talked to for the last 2 years..........it was awesome, we have decided to marry, in fact while I was there in Morocco we tried to get married we went to the Embassy in Casablanca and collected all the necassary documents but the marriage process was estimated to be about 10 days, an additional 10 days I was not able to stay unfortunately. So, 2 days ago I sent in the documents for a k1 fiance visa, but I did a sloppy job after reading the recommended filing directions after stumbling upon this site............Now I am freaked out that the marriage process will be much delayed because of my sloppiness. I did not put the photos in a little plastic bag, although I did label them, I did not include letters from him and I intending to marry after 90 days upon entry to the USA, this was not on the Immigration website. Also some of the geographic documents in his name were printed in Blue ink and not Black, since I was on a jet from Spain to JFK, I was anxiously trying to prepare the paperwork. I just feel like I did a really sloppy job, can anyone give me any input? Please????????????? Thank you so much!

If you left things out or didn't do some things right, they will allow you a chance to fix it. I was worried too, because something changed between the time we did our paperwork and the time I sent it in and I forgot to make the change in both places where the info was asked for. I called and they said they will let you fix stuff like that, but they didn't even ask for it. They also send out what they call Requests for Evidence (RFE), and they may do that for missing info. So, relax, and let them get thru it first. There's really not much you can do until they give you a id number anyway.

BTW, this site has great info under "Visa FAQ" and "Guides" on the tabs at the top of each webpage. Use them! They saved me a lot of headaches and had great tips that you don't think of on your own. Also, there is a thread here called "CASABLANCA" that has info about the process, particularly the consular process. It's always a good idea to stay ahead!

Best wishes to you both! You will get support here. There are lots of Moroccan SOs among us.

Hello thanks so much for the response, it makes me feel so much better knowing this, you know the Immigration web site does not provide a lot of info of the application process for k1 visas, it does not even mention to do a statement from the fiance and the American for intent of marriage. So I will start preparing the documents, I wonder if i should make plans to be there with Abdellatif for the interview process?????? I know it is a long way away but it is better to plan now I am sure. Also will they have a special doctor they will want him to see in Morocco or can it be any doctor that does the medical exam? This is such an exciting nerve wracking time for both of us, on the time lines, what does it mean "touched"? I have noticed that on many timelines it says that?????? Thanks again for your help and support! I am so thankful I stumbled across this site thanks to Mr. google!!!!!!!!

Actually, I think it's GEG's pics that got me eating for 2 days! So, thanks for no food pictures! It's almost 3 pm and I haven't eaten anything yet!

And pictures of Moroccan places make me sad. Guess, everything makes me sad these days. Now I have to get to Target and get my son to the Haircuttery. They have some nice things at Target from around the world but not for long! Dont' worry, i'm not in a buying mood, but if I find something that looks Moroccan... who knows. I'm trying to get my bedroom redecorated myself to look Moroccan for whenever Mohamed's coming.

OH YEAH! MY CAT IS BACK!!! constantly crying for attention and trying to start a war with the older cat and a kitten. Hope my son's not letting any more cats out!

Are we trying to keep it alive? I was thinking to post pictures of the stuff I got from Target 'WORLD BAZAAR', but thought, the thread looks abandoned...

Do you like my new avatar? It's my new kitten, the pic was taken by my kids. I might add more later.

Booooooooooorrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Well, I have plenty to do around the house, just nothing very exciting. Sleep sounds good but it's only 8:30. A bath sounds good but my water heater sucks and doesn't provide enough hot water to fill the tub!!!!!!! argh!!!
