Hello Crisarria,

Nope..my lawyer submitted the paperwork on 7th october (tuesday) and has called every day until friday but they didn't have it in their system. This time he sent it to correct email address of NVCelectronic@. He re-sent it on 10th october (friday again). Now that it is a long weekend, he will call again starting tomorrow everyday until we get a confirmation. Never received any confirmation on email either.

How about you? Any luck? By the way what part of canada are you in? I am in montreal.

PS: happy thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too!!!!

Well i spoke with the supervisor like I told you before that was Thursday the 9th and she said she would call me I have not heard from her. I was thinking of calling tomm.

We are in Gatineau/ottawa. I cant believe you are in Montreal so close. Where are you doing your POE? Do you know yet?

Hi Every one

I am sponsoring my wife, my income is a nontaxable scholarship. and I was informed that NVC would not consider this income as a salary. Would any one please let me know whether an amount of money in my bank account is acceptable as an asset , and if so, what is the minimum amount.

Thanks

That's the best part. Mailer ;)

Thats good. My last scann date is Sept 9th I'm hoping not to get another checklist. My mind has been so frazeled lately I keep wondering if I completed my checklist correctly. This whole process has me on pins and needles. I hope the NVC speeds up and we get a cc this month.

It normally takes 2-4 weeks for a case number after being received.

If you are only sponsoring one person then look at the I-864P. You need 3x the assets to make up for lack of income.

Does anyone know if they delay reveiwing the AOS until they have received the IV package?

My situation is as follows:

- Sent AOS package scan date Aug 7.

- Waited for fee to be unlocked and paid until sending IV package.

- IV package scan date 9/24.

- 60 day letter received shortly thereafter.

I'm wondering if they should have reviewed the AOS package already and now will review the IV after the 60 days. I'm pretty scared about a checklist on my AOS, am I in the clear yet or no? Thanks in advance for any advice/similar experiences!

It seems that some people are told that they will review each package separately. However, a good of amount of people have recently said that the NVC informed them that they will review both packages together since about 2 weeks ago. Your best option is to call them tomorrow (once they are back from the holiday) to find out if they have accepted your AOS pkg or not OR if they will review with IV.

Best of luck with everything!

If you ask an NVC operator what they will do with your case, you'll get as many hypothetical answers as there are operators in the building. It really doesn't matter what they say they think will happen to your case because they are completely inconsistent in how they are reviewing cases (regarding reviewing packets either separately or together). I would just call tomorrow, and then once or twice a week, to see if they have reviewed any packets.

They are not consistent. Sometimes, packets are reviewed separately by their scan date, other times they are reviewed together by the earliest scan date (rare), and sometimes they are reviewed together by the latest scan date.
