At embassy waiting for interview day (Dominican Republic)

Hey guys,

since this is one of the most stressful moments right now, i was wondering how many of you are at the embassy waiting for an interview at santo doming?

I wanted us to post all of our frutrations here lol

The embassy replied to my email today saing that I should contact them in 2-3 weeks. My case arrived at the embassy last thrusday.

is anyone else case at the embassy? Post ur experiences

I'm still waiting! The embassy entered my case into their system on 9/13 and nothing still. My NOA2 was approved on 8/14.

9/17/14 - Called Embassy. Case in system but no interview yet.

10/2/14 - Called Embassy. Interview 11/25 (10 wks after receipt at embassy)

10/14/14 - Fiancé received Package 4. Hand delivered to his home

11/25 - APPROVED
12/1 - CEAC status AP
12/3 - CEAC Visa Issued

When i case arrive to santo domingo, the waiting time is 4 months.

In one month after papers arrive you can contact them to know your interview date.

The normal is 4 months.

So patient and pray to God.

I hope they are moving a little faster. I really want for all of us who are still waiting to get an interview by this month.

Lots of prayers for all of us. As Mr.Tee12 said we need to get ready and maintain our relationships with our fiancee.

I think they are giving proprity to whoever filled before you guys, your NOA 2 was not a long wait compare to others like me, Who on top of that got a RFE. Im being positive thinking interview will be NOV.

I'm beyond frustrated right now. My case is still in NVC for almost a month now. I just checked my status it says : " YOUR CASE IS IN TRANSIT TO THE CONSULAR SECTION. YOUR INTERVIEW DATE WAS PROVIDED TO YOU BY THE NATIONAL VISA CENTER"

Can somebody please explain to me what does it mean?? Please!!

Yeah I know it works like that. I am hoping for a late november or december interview. Its better if I get a december interview bc thats when my semester ends. I will be working full time in december but I can get some days off. I also wants december bc i can stay for longer with my fiance.

This means that the embassy should get ur case soon. If you are k-1, the embassy schedules ur interview, not the NVC. For me, it took about 10 days for the embassy to receive my case and when i emailed them they said that i should contact them in 2-3 weeks to receive an interview.

I just checked your timeline, the embassy hasnt received ur k-1?

Im not sure if the embassy schedules interview by who filed first or by the order they receive them. Im still confused by this.

I called the Embassy today and I we have an interview date.. .for Nov 25. I'm happy and upset as NOA2 was approved 8/14 and embassy had previously told me they are expediting K1s and it would take 4-6 weeks from 9/13 (date embassy entered into their system). I questioned them on that today and asked them why it's taking 10 weeks if they are expediting cases. His reply "that's a question for the consulate" I'm over these people but hopefully this will all be over soon. Good luck to you all!

How do you know when the embassy entered the case to the system?

Thanks! CEAC website said "In Transit" as of 9/10, the status changed to "Ready" on 9/11 and on 9/16. When I first called on 9/17, I was told they had just entered the case into their system on 9/13. You can ask them that when you call.

Oh okay. Just wanted to make sure. I believe my case is in the system bc they emailed me saying that they had just received the case.

Do you think they schedule all the interviews for cases they already have into the system?
