I think you can still get a Dec interview as long as you get a CC by Nov 10-ish.

However, some embassies/consulates close at the end of Dec so it's up to your embassy/consulate.

After reading Samreen's posting, I just recalled reading happy postings on the NVC thread back in April.

Everyone was so happy to be at NVC after getting stuck at USCIS for months. People told us that it was going to be super quick at NVC because they used to spend only a month at NVC if they didn't get checklists. They told us that waiting for the case number was the hardest part and everything after that was just a walk in the park.

Well, we all know how it turned out to be another USCIS since the review time got longer and longer (2 weeks -> 3 weeks -> 30 days -> 30 business days -> 60 calender days) and we had to wait for 30-45 days for the IV fee invoice.

We just didn't know what was in store for us back in April.

I was super happy when my case arrived at NVC April, me and my Hubby thought we will be out of NVC in less than 2months but we ended up spending over 5months.

The waiting period at NVC has more headache and heartbreak than the waiting period at USCIS. Am praying we all get out of that hell hole called NVC.

So the IV fee shows as PAY NOW but when i click on it, it's not available to pay. Also, i have not received an email saying i can pay it. Is this normal?

Also, i received the AOS cover sheet after i paid AOS but i also received a Document Cover Sheet where i need to check off what docs i am incluidng in each package. i am supposed to send both cover sheets right? With the AOS one on top right?

Yes it's normal mine did that and I had to wait a few days until it accepted payment. Just keep checking a couple times a day. I never received an e-mail so don't wait for it.

Also yes Cover sheet goes on top and wow I never received a Cover Sheet for documents how nice well don't forget to send AOS and IV off together, I didn't I followed

what someone I respect suggested and I think that really messed me up time wise. You should have a Cover sheet for your AOS and it has AOS on it you can use that for both AOS and IV / documents so the documents you send will have the AOS Cover sheet and below that one the document check list then documents. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please. . Much luck I'll be praying no checklists and all goes smoothly for you.

Mine has not been shipped too. NVC rep said its scheduled for shipment next week. Am praying yours get shipped too next week. Fingers crossed for us.

Good old days at NVC in April!

Everyone thought this immigration process was almost over when our cases arrived at NVC!

Boy, we knew so little about what was in store for us back in April since this nightmare has quickly begun in May!

I got more stressed out at NVC than USCIS (since I thought I was going to be in and out of NVC in 1-2 months and was constantly let down every time they slowed down). Plus, I was worrying about getting a checklist!

I think we happened to be unlucky in the immigration process.

Then when the NVC backlog became apparent and I had to wait so long for my IV invoice I was like AWWWWW HELL NO

Luckily interview scheduling is embassy-dependent... so unless London has decided to fall apart this month, I should be out of here by Christmas

OMG, Nebraska Service Center is the worst of all of them I languished there for about a year then the nightmare at NVC and not looking forward to the Egyptian Embassy

These people just have to much power over our lives. There needs to be a way to overturn or have someone to help us if any of us is put on AP.

It's probably a typo. I have a feeling they meant to write "Aug 20th" instead.

I know many people get too excited when they get a CC. They often make lots of typos!

Did you call NVC on Friday, Cat? The London Embassy did the second round of assigning Nov interview dates on Friday!

OMG no I didn't. I called on Tuesday and was told nothing was booked yet so I decided I would call back next Tuesday. I really hope my case was included thanks for that info, I honestly have no idea when interview scheduling happens lol.

NVC schedules interviews at the end of each month (first round) and around the 10th (second round). You were in time for the second round of Nov interviews! Any interviews scheduled after this cut-off date will be most likely Dec interviews.

People who got CC around the same time as you (Oct 6) got Nov interviews at the London Embassy!

There is a chance that you might be able to move to the US by Thanksgiving (but definitely Christmas)!
