Hey all, hope that everyone is having a good Thursday...almost the weekend!!!

Just a random question that has been on my mind ever since I found this site. Do you think that the consulate officers ever log onto this website to check up on people or to see the reviews of their consulates? Because I used to be on a pre-med board similar to this where students share their experiences interviewing at various medical schools, and I know now that the medical schools do check out these websites (and others like facebook and myspace) during the application period. What do you guys think?

I've heard rumors of people at their interviews being asked about things that they had revealed on VJ. But I don't know if these are just VJ urban legends...

How on earth, unless you use your full first and last name, would they even know it was you posting? I think it must be an urban legend unless someone willingly offered up the posts as being theirs.

12/28/06 - got married :)

02/05/07 - I-130 NOA1

02/21/07 - I-129 NOA1

04/09/07 - I-130 and I-129F approval email sent!!!!

04/26/07 - Packet 3 received

06/16/07 - Medical Examination

06/26/07 - Packet 3 SUBMITTED FINALLY!!!!

07/07/07 - Received pkt 4

07/22/07 - interview consular never bothered to show up for work.

07/29/07 - interview.

is a first name needed? age, location, listings on the timeline. it's not difficult to match up who is who, is it? add in a first name and a pic and someone's job just got way easier. then just a simple search to see what they have been talking about. and no, you don't even have to log in to do this....

Well, not to scare you or anything, but I'm pretty sure you're the only Bridget from Boston who will be filing for a spousal visa for Usama from Egypt who got married on December 28, 2006. You see what I mean?

Why would it matter?

I mean, they now most about us anyway, and if they match their files to some posts here- what new would they learn?

That people are waiting for their visas?

And I seriously doubt that the staff at USCIS has nothing better to do than scanning the hundreds of immigration forums that exist to find specific posts...

Maybe- if they suspect fraud, but even then- I can't imagine that it happens on a regular basis.

I CAN, however, imagine that some IOs read on immigration forums. To see what's happening. Maybe to find fraud.

short history:

2001 - met in Germany

April 2003 - fell in love

Aug 2004 - go to the US for internship

Feb 2005 - both return to Germany

Aug 2006 - getting married

DCF timeline:

09/01/2006 - filed the petition in Frankfurt

09/06/2006 - medical in Frankfurt

09/26/2006 - faxed checklist

10/05/2006 - received interview invite

11/01/2006 - INTERVIEW in Frankfurt - approved!

11/04/2006 - VISA IN HAND!!

12/21/2006 - POE San Francisco and ON TO SEA!

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

and factoring the lack of manpower to handle the huge number of cases- i doubt they care that much.

Okay, I have my homepage set to Google. All of a sudden when it comes up the font is huge!! I don't know what's going on as I haven't changed anything. Anyone know how I can keep the page from being read at 100 yards? I've looked around but can't find any setting to change.
