How much time do we have from I-129F NOA2 approval till the time that we must schedule an interview with the consulate?

GC for wife:

I-130 IR1

10/20/06 Sent to VSC

10/24/06 NOA1

12/18/06 Approved (email)

12/27/06 I-824 sent for consular processing

01/03/07 I-824 received at VSC

02/28/07 I-824 approved (email)

03/19/07 AOS Bill sent by NVC

03/24/07 AOS Bill received

03/26/07 Choice of agent emailed

03/26/07 AOS Bill payment sent

03/29/07 Choice of Agent accepted

04/02/07 IV Fee Bill generated

04/16/07 IV Fee Bill received

04/17/07 IV Fee Bill payment sent

04/18/07 I-864 notice and cover letter received

04/19/07 I-864EZ and supporting documents sent

05/04/07 Checklist generated, asking for DS-230

4 months (and yup, it's on your approval letter, the hardcopy).

K3 Timeline - 2006-11-20 to 2007-03-19

AOS & EAD Timeline

2007-04-16: I-485 and I-765 sent to Chicago (My AOS/EAD checklist)

2007-04-17: Received at Chicago

2007-04-23: NOA1 date (both)

2007-05-10: Biometrics appointment (both - Biometrics review)

2007-06-05: AOS interview letter date

2007-06-13: AOS interview letter received in mail

2007-07-03: EAD card production ordered

2007-07-07: EAD card received! (yay!)

2007-08-23: AOS interview (Documents / Interview review)

2007-08-23: Green card production ordered!!!

2007-08-24: Welcome notice mailed!

2007-08-27: Green card production ordered again... ?

2007-08-28: Welcome notice received!

2007-09-01: Green card received!

Done with USCIS until May 23, 2009!

Thanks for your response! I should have looked at the NOA2 more closely before asking this dumb question.

Anyway, does this mean my wife must complete the interview before the validity date, or just submit all paperwork and get a schedule?

Also, how can we get this extended?

Look on the sample forms section (there is one for K-1 and I am sure could be used as well for K-3)
