I-130, Section C, Question 17 - List spouse....

Hi Folks;

I am a confused by this as I bought Nolo's book "Fiance & Marriage Visa", and Section C, Question 17, the example, shows the husband's name and the husband is the Citizen, not the immigrant and the intending immigrant's children . Is this a mistake?? Because the question reads............."List spouse and all children of your relative"

So, does that mean I write in my husband's name, who is the US citizen, and his children? or,

do I put my name, the intending immigrant and my children?

This has really puzzled me.

If you are the person immigrating then you are the intending.your husband is the petitioner and you are the applicant/beneficiary.

it did for me too... the I-130 is from the USC point of view.... so he is the spouse of the relative (you) and if you (the relative) have any children they'd be listed...

mine was

1. Mr. USC (spouse)

2. my oldest daughter

3. my youngest daughter

It was lots of fun trying to keep things straight when we were filling the form out to petition my daughters too! LOL!

There's only me and this is all overwhelming, so, I can only imagine what it's like when one has children to fill out the forms for. Oy!!

It looks like the I-130 fee of $420 has stayed the same.... but later down the road, the AOS and IV fee have increased..... but I'm not going to worry about that just yet, cross that bridge when we get there
