Engagement ring for an interview

Guys, - I have this kind of question.

I am petitioner and I apply for K-1 visa for my fiancée.

Although I am US citizen, in a culture where I (and my fiancée) grew up we don’t have a strong tradition to by engagement ring for fiancée. I do not mean that nobody does this, but it is not very common. More often we buy wedding rings and that is all.

My fiancée does not want it – and she does not like wearing rings and other jewellery at all. She prefers that I will buy her a new IPad, IPhone, new laptop or something more useful.

Do you think it will look strange if she comes on the interview without engagement ring?

Thank you.

No it's not, I didn't wear engagement ring and I don't have one when I had my interview, I am now here in USA and married, currently on the process of adjusting my status.

Immigration is not very particular with engagement ring, just show you guys have a genuine relationship and that's all that matters.

We did not have one either. Like you and your fiance, we consider it a waste of money.

No problem at interview. Lack of ring was never even asked about by interviewer, not even once.
