If I pay the initial $340 fee for the K1 Fiance Visa and the petition get's kicked back, will I have to pay a second time?

Just like the topic title says, will I have to pay a second time? My French sister-in-law told me I have one shot and if it gets sent back I have to pay twice but I have hard time believing it.

Anyone got any clarification about this or any other fee during the visa process?

No, if they rejected it because improper documents, USCIS won't cashed the check. It will returned back to you.

NOTE: You don't pay $340 for fiance visa fee. It is the fee for I-129F. Those things are different.

To clarify - if they reject whole package without cashing the check, sure you won't have to pay twice. If they deny petition (which happens typically way after check is cashed), of course you will have to pay for another one.
