Hello everyone,

Can anyone please help me. I would like to know how long will it take for NVC or consulate to issue a Interview Letter? I just received an email from from NVC today morning Following :

23­SEP­14
Dear Sir/Madam,
All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has
been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and
attorney (if applicable) will be notified.
The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment
until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.
The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the
interview.

Your assistance will greatly be appreciated.

My case completed on july 10th 2014

It took 30 business days to review IV and affidavit.

Thanks but my concern is immigration lady did not say that she is approving visa. She gave my wife green administrative processing slip and said there r further processing to your case. And have to get authorized from Washington. But she also said you will get your passport in few days. I m so confused

Hope fully everything will be fine. No need to worry if they say few days than wait few days and call them or they will contact you.

My CEAC status has been shown ready since 12th Sept, when the Mumbai consulate received my papers (as per tracking)

It shows, current processing site: Mumbai consulate. Status: ready.

Hope this helps. It was in transit when NVC informed me it has been shipped.

Is anyone feeling motivated to call NVC today to find out if they've started scheduling November? After all, our calls are very important to them and they look forward to speaking with us.

I'm planning to call them on Friday (the 26th). :star: I think it's a little too early to call since it's the 23rd. :content:

Yeah buddy! Glad to be with you again! :)

Got checklisted which held me up. After getting back from Bogota I called and escalated to a Supervisor. The checklist was for her Police Record, which is only available online. I knew I sent a clear printed record which was very recent. So the Supervisor I spoke with spoke Spanish and knew what the proper Colombian Police Record looked like. She said "looks good to me" and admitted someone made an error. Then went into the system and marked the case complete. I am still waiting on some sort of official notification (I hear it takes a week). I called again this morning and the (depressingly sad sounding) operator confirmed approval, so I guess we are good. I am hoping for a mid November interview. It seems as if Bogota is consistently 6 weeks, 8 weeks worst case.

Glad to be back in the same boat together!!!...except for the big fonted one, ayyyy she drives me nuts! hahahahaha :)

Back in June, they scheduled on Tuesday the 24th. What can I say... I'm an optimist! I'm also lazy, which is why I'm hoping someone else will call first. :)

I'm getting super nervous about my interview, although I know there should be no problem with it. I guess waiting this long makes you worry about everything :rolleyes: Today I've been worried about my age...yes, I know, clearly something to be worried about, since I can't do a darn thing to change it :rofl: But every single time I've crossed the U.S border the immigration officer has asked me if I'm really this old, is this really my passport etc. I don't think this will be an issue during the interview though, so I know I shouldn't worry, but somehow I still manage to be worried :D

IR1 took 520 days....

Don't freak if you don't get a date til next month for November. I had to wait til July 10th for Round 2 after I got a CC in June bc I barely missed Round 1. Hopefully they're still doing 2 rounds.
