Applicants may need to bring an additional police certificate to the interview. If the following three

items are all true, the applicant needs to bring an updated police certificate to the interview:

· He or she is more than 16 years old;

· He or she obtained a police certificate more than one year ago; and

·" He or she still lives in the country that issued the police certificate." what does this line means

Take for example someone who submitted three PCCs from three countries he lived in in the past. The above refers only to the one from the country where the applicant is currently residing in.

Some COs ask for it, so do bring it. Its in the CEAC. Just click on the COMPLETED under the IV APPLICATION heading (leave the one under AOS alone!).

VISA ISSUED

Awesome!

Hey guys, couldn't work out how to post on the UK portal, but wanted to ask do the Knightsbridge doctors still take your word for it that you have had chickenpox? I asked my doctor but my records don't go back that far. Should I get an immunity test done privately before my medical, or is this a bit of overkill?

Also, is the medical information on vaccines still out of date? As it says I don't need a flu shot if I am under 49 years, is this still correct in oct-march?

Hey, they asked me if I'd had chickenpox as it wasn't on my records, I said yes, and they took that and didn't question it anymore. Flu shots are season so it depends when your medical is and when the flu season starts, if you hit that then you'll have to get it done either at your doctors or at the medical.

Interview done this morning and approved!! :) :)

Congrats :D

Visa approved! Just got home.. and I checked the ceac.. ISSUED ALREADY! thanks vj family..

Congrats :D

It doesn't seem real yet! I never imagined it would take this long.. I will be happier when it's all over next Thursday! :)

Not sure on your country specifically. Each country has a different cost for the medical. The UK one cost about $395, but it can be more expensive if you need any vaccinations. Look on the US embassy page for your country, or look at the interview letter to see the info they give you! Good luck!

Mumbai embassy sent out an automated email to all the CR-1 interviews saying the interview from Sept 9th was moved to Sept 10th. They called my wife on 9th afternoon asking why she didnt show up for the interview. They said there is some glitch in their system.

They didnt really ask her many questions. They probably had all the CR1s from 9th and 10th so perhaps they tried to get through them quickly.

Yesterday I called and they said my documents werent shipped to consulate yet as I saw No change in my ceac since CC.

Today I checked ceac again and everything is the same except current processing site changed to Ankara...

What does this mean? Means docs are at Ankara already?
