I still haven't sent in my I-751

I have most of it together, I just have to make some photocopies of some stuff....

These past couple of months have been kind of difficult and I am not looking forward to jumping back in bed with the USCIS or whatever it is called :P

I have until April 2nd, 2007 to mail it in and I will do it within the next week or so

I think you should be fine as long as you are back before your green card does expire....

Get cracking u slacker, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

hehehe I know how you feel Marilyn, I waited until a couple of weeks before my 90 days were up before getting cracking on the AOS packet, just couldn't bring myself to finish it until the last second.

I'm with flames, get crackin' ;):)

my plan is to mail it off this weekend...

but I have a few questions first....

can I mail the package registered? so that when they get they have to sign for it and I know they have received it or do I just send it regular post??

Also about how long does it take to get the NOA1??

We are going up to Canada from March 16th to March 22nd.... My green card doesn't expire until April 2nd but what I am worried about is if they schedule my Biometrics appointment for that time I am gone... I have heard people say that they didn't get a lot of notice for the Biometrics appointment...

I didnt send it registered, but sent it with delivery confirmation! I was told by the postal dude, sending a registered pkg is the slowest method. I belive it took a month to get the first NOA, and then a month after that I got my BIometrics appt letter. I still had like a 3 week period from letter to appt, lots of time. I evenhad to chg the appt date, and that was extremely easy.
